Dr. Neal has been at the development forefront of blue circular economy models for monetization of non-recyclable plastic, blue-energy production, and financing clean-up of marine litter from the open ocean for the last 20 years. Dr. Neal has been a senior executive and founder of five companies. Dr. Neal received a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University, and a Ph.D. from The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.

Markus has been actively engaged in the power transmission and renewable energy industries since 1998. He received his Master’s Degree in Business Economics from the University of Siegen in Germany and is a managing partner of AFA GmbH. Through AFA’s close collaboration with leading German solar firms Markus decided in 2009 to open up a U.S company to build utility scale solar parks in North America.

Dr. Neal has over 45 years experience in the areas of Avionics and Aerospace including commercial and military businesses. He has been a Vice President of Engineering at two companies, a chief Technical Officer, and Director of Avionics. Under his direction he has developed digital autopilots, liquid crystal displays, digital sensor systems, ATF avionics, B2 Avionics, terrain following systems, F22 displays, antennas, processors and recorder systems. Dr. Neal has marketed these and many other systems with certification in several foreign countries. Dr. Neal has a PhD from the University of Wyoming.

Jeff has 12 years of experience in the green space arena where he has assessed several leading technologies related to energy generation, biomass conversion, and water treatment. He provides business development, operational support, and financial consulting to a number of energy and conversion technology projects both in the US and abroad. He helped secure the first bio-refinery project in the San Joaquin Valley of California and has developed a pipeline of similar projects throughout that region. He is also a founder of Precision Waste Conversion, Inc. He received both his Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in Business from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Co-Founder of AGESS, Inc, Nathan has a Bachelors of Architecture and Masters of Architecture and Real Estate Development from Woodbury University. Nathan has over a decade of experience in Real Estate Development, Professional Project Manager and has served as a Development Project Manager at Development Services Department with the City of San Diego and as a Professor at New School of Architecture and Design. As the lead for professional project management teams he is able to provide turn key services for projects of all scales.

Corinne, is a Project Coordinator at Blue Fuels. A certified California Naturalist through UCANR, Corinne graduated from the University of California at Davis with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in
Natural Sciences. She served as a Research Assistant aboard the SV Kaisei during their Micro-Plastics expedition through the North Pacific Gyre. She has served as a volunteer for International Bird Rescue caring for injured and oiled seabirds and at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center. She is currently a Docent at the American River Conservancy and recently completed a 6 month long data analytics program through UC Berkeley Extension.

Michael, Vice President of JDMT has decades of experience on waste management and resource recovery, addressing technical and regulatory aspects of waste conversion and resource recovery. Mr. Theroux’s focus has been on the clean conversion of waste and biomass residuals to heat, power, fuels, chemicals, and bio-sourced products. He has traveled the globe inspecting and vetting waste conversion systems, resulting in development and ongoing maintenance of a proprietary waste conversion value chain database.

Michelaina is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Environmental Studies Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She studies natural resource management and governance, with a focus on equitable distribution and access. Michelaina has worked in environmental consulting, science communication, and for environmental non-profits. She also wrote on a range of environmental topics, including groundwater management and climate change adaptation, for ten years as a freelance reporter. She holds a B.A. in History and a double minor in Conservation and Resource Studies and Spanish from the University of California, Berkeley.
